Some Scars Never Heal: Mortal Engines Artwork

For the art activation campaign of the upcoming movie, Mortal Engines, directed by Christian Rivers and produced by Peter Jackson of 'The Lord of the Rings' fame, based on the books by Philip Reeve.
According to the story, Hester Shaw (played by Hera Hilmar) is constantly haunted by her past and her pursuit for revenge. Her past has not only scarred her physically but also the way she views the world; making her not only afraid of being judged but also defiant. It's hard to capture such raw emotions in a single character...but I tried.
This poster also contains some elements of her chase through London's furnaces just before the pivotal moment where she falls down the waste-chute to the Out-Country.
