Standing against London: Mortal Engines Artwork

This artwork was for the art activation campaign of the upcoming movie, Mortal Engines, directed by Christian Rivers and produced by Peter Jackson of 'The Lord of the Rings' fame, based on the books by Philip Reeve.
The brief was to focus on the themes "from girl power, to the weapons used, to the traction cities" and the tagline, "Some scars never heal".

In this artwork, I've focused on capturing that moment when London (one of the largest traction cities in the Mortal Engines world) is about to "eat" the tiny mining town of Salthook, in which Hester Shaw (the female protagonist played by Hera Hilmar) is onboard.

I also added some elements in the traction city, London, that actually references our real-life London, such as the Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, and so on. Of course, I've also taken some artistic liberties there.
